The goal of the Bioinformatics Awareness Month at Jackson State University is to promote institutional capacity in bioinformatics and computational biology by infusing bioinformatics topics into courses; present students with graduate school opportunities; enhance collaborative bioinformatics research; and promote economic development in Mississippi through bioinformatics.
